Andrea Lo Cicero
Prop Andrea Lo-Cicero played for Italy between 2000 and 2013, before retiring with 103 caps
for the Azzurri. At that time, it was the highest number won by any player.
Highlights along the way include an outstanding performance in the 2004 Six Nations
Championship. A campaign which led Lo-Cicero to be named in the BBC’s Dream XV.
Later that year, he was the only European player selected for the Barbarian squad that took on
New Zealand, in which he scored a rare try.
It was during the 2013 Six Nations tournament Lo-Cicero became the second player in Italian
National Rugby Union history to reach the 100 cap milestone. Lo-Cicero retired from the
national team after their final game of the tournament, recording their first ever Six Nations
victory over Ireland.
