Over a 14 year-long international career, Gareth Thomas made 100 test match appearances for
Wales. In doing so, Thomas became the first Welsh player to reach the Centurion milestone.
Playing as a fullback, wing or centre, Thomas is Wales’ second highest try scorer and
Ranks as the 13th highest try scorer across all Rugby Union nations.
Thomas made a thrilling first international appearance during the 1995 Rugby World Cup, where
he scored a hat-trick of tries for the Welsh. A year on from his debut, Thomas made a 90-metre
dash from the centre line, scoring the longest interception try ever seen at the Arms Park.
