Over a 14 year-long international career, Gareth Thomas made 100 test match appearances for Wales. In doing so, Thomas became the first Welsh player to reach the Centurion milestone.
Playing as a fullback, wing or centre, Thomas is Wales’ second highest try scorer and Ranks as the 13th highest try scorer across all Rugby Union nations.
Thomas made a thrilling first international appearance during the 1995 Rugby World Cup, where he scored a hat-trick of tries for the Welsh. A year on from his debut, Thomas made a 90-metre dash from the centre line, scoring the longest interception try ever seen at the Arms Park. His 100th, and last test match came in the 2007 World Cup, before he retired from the sport in October 2011.
