John Hayes

John Hayes won his first international cap for Ireland in 2000 and was their first-choice tighthead prop for the majority of his career.
When Ireland won their first Grand Slam in 61 years in 2009, Hayes made his 94th international appearance, breaking the record as Ireland’s most capped player of that time. A year on, Hayes became the first Irish player to reach the 100 cap Centurion milestone.
Following an 11 year-long international career, Hayes retired late 2011 after making his last appearance for Ireland during the 2011 Rugby World Cup warm-ups with 105 caps for his national team.
